Andrea Rodrigues is a valued well-rounded senior lawyer who started her legal career journey working in the community legal sector and has now established roots in the private legal industry.

Andrea has graduated with a Bachelor of Law and Arts minoring in Sociology and majoring in Psychology. Andrea has successfully graduated from the renowned College of Law with a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.

Andrea has a strong passion for social justice and fighting for the underdog which has motivated her through her legal career path. Andrea has previously worked at the Western Sydney Community Legal Centre and the Aboriginal Legal Service and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in the areas of Family Law, Criminal Law and Civil law.

Andrea also brings more than 10 years of experience dealing with a diverse range of clients who face a diverse range of legal issues. Andrea is a dedicated and hardworking lawyer who is motivated by achieving the best results for her clients and complying with her professional and legal obligations. Andrea has developed excellent communication skills ensuring that her clients are kept updated throughout their matters.

Andrea now predominantly practices in Family Law including difficult parenting matters, complex property settlement matters, interim defended hearings, final defended hearings, contested divorces, spousal maintenance applications, jurisdictional and international forum disputes. Andrea is also well versed in settling complex consent orders for parenting and property, settling binding financial agreements and binding child support agreements.

Andrea also frequently practices in Criminal Law matters including appearing in bail applications, applications to vary ADVOs or bail conditions, defended hearings and has a deep passion preparing for and appearing in sentencing matters and section 14 applications.

Andrea also practices in Wills and Estates including distribution of probate, preparing enduring powers of attorney, enduring guardianships, and Wills.

Andrea is admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia. Andrea is also a member of the Law Society of NSW. Andrea frequently appears in various Courts across NSW and interstate including but not limited to Local Court of NSW, the District Court of NSW, Supreme Court of NSW, Brisbane Magistrate’s Court, Federal Court of Australia, South Australia Employment Tribunal, NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia both Division 1 and Division 2.

Andrea is well versed in court etiquette and will firmly advocate for her client’s best interests in the face of adversity. Andrea has received comments from the bench commending her for the robust and high quality of submissions made by her.
